DA to Picket outside Bell Pottinger offices tomorrow

13th Jul 2017 in Bell Pottinger, News

“Sowing racial divisions in our country, which will have lasting implications on the social fabric of our society, cannot be allowed to stand.” – Phumzile Van Damme MP (DA Shadow Minister of Communications) Read full Press statement [+] Here

Tomorrow, 14 July 2017, the DA Abroad will picket outside the Gupta’s PR agency, Bell Pottinger, after they embarked on a racially fuelled propaganda campaign for the Guptas in South Africa.

We will also pass on a memorandum demanding that the profits from Gupta business deals go towards developing schools and developmental non-governmental organisations in South Africa.

The firm’s apology last week was simply not enough. It was rather an admission of guilt and the DA therefore urges all South Africans in London to join us in standing up to Bell Pottinger.

We cannot turn a blind eye to those who wish to sow racial divisions in our country. We will continue to ensure that those responsible for this damaging campaign will be brought to book.

The event will take place as follows:

Date: Friday, 14 July 2017
Time: 16h30 – 19h00
Venue: Bell Pottinger offices, Holborn Gate, 330 High Holborn, London, WC1V 7QD

“Those responsible must be held accountable for this damaging campaign and the DA will continue to ensure this is done.” – Phumzile Van Damme MP

South Africans stand united because we are #StrongerthanBellPottinger

For any questions and more info email uk@da-abroad.org. Further details can also be found on our Facebook Event.

The necessary permissions have been obtained from the Metro Police and local council of our intention to peacefully picket.

We look forward to seeing you there!
