On the 12 April, South Africans back home come together for a National Day of Action and march to the Union Buildings in another powerful demonstration of national unity against Jacob Zuma’s destructive presidency.

On 8 April, over 600 South Africans in London gathered outside the High Commission to join the call for Zuma to go. On the evening of the 12 April, we will again stand in solidarity with our countrymen and come together for a silent candlelight vigil.

It just so happens that the 12 April is President Zuma’s birthday, and so while he lights the candles on his birthday cake we will light our candles of hope for South Africa’s future, for the future of our economy, our democracy and our Constitution.

The National Day of Action is just 6 days before the Motion of No Confidence is debated in Parliament on Tuesday 18 April. It is an opportunity to show ANC MPs in Parliament that South Africa supports this Motion, and so should they.

The ANC has instructed their MPs to vote against the motion. But with sufficient public pressure, they will have to carefully consider their own votes. For that reason, this campaign is important.

We continue to encourage South Africans to make contact with ANC MPs to ask them to do the right thing and vote Jacob Zuma out. We also ask members of the public to become citizen co-sponsors of the Motion of No Confidence by signing the petition at noconfidence.co.za.

We must work together, regardless of the party we vote for, to remove Zuma before he destroys our democracy and our shared future.

We are calling on South Africans from all walks of life – political parties, NGOs, civil society – and any South African who cares about the future of our country to join us in our movement for change.

**Protest Schedule**
18:30 – 19:00 Arrival and assembling
19:00 – 19:30 Candlelight vigil commences with singing of the National Anthem
19:30 – 20:00 Disbanding
