Elizabeth moved to Amsterdam almost five years ago with the goal of gaining international work experience. She studied to be a CA(SA) at the University of Stellenbosch and currently works in the field audit.
Elizabeth is passionate about South Africa and the people she is proud to call herself a part of. Being in the Netherlands has taught her about fairness, pragmatism and openness in policy-making and being a DA abroad member is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the change our country deserves.

Jaco was born in the Northern Cape, matriculated in Bloemfontein and studied law at the University of Johannesburg and at UNISA. He hold an LLB degree.
Jaco is an advocate of the High Court of South Africa and headed his own Legal Consultancy from 2006 to 2016, specialising in Health, Safety and Environmental Legal compliance.
Jaco became a DA activist and branch member in 2009 and was elected as councillor for the City of Johannesburg in 2011 and again in August of 2016. At the end of September 2016 he resigned as councillor to take up an opportunity to study an LLM in Public International Law at the University of Leiden in the Netherlands.

Veldhoven, The NetherlandsLize is a proud South African who grew up in Pretoria, completing her degree in accounting at the University of Stellenbosch and qualifying as a chartered accountant in 2016. She is currently on a long term secondment in the Netherlands where she is working as an auditor.Lize joined the Democratic Alliance Abroad because she feel through this organisation where she can make a difference and help bring change to our beloved country. She is very excited to contribute to this role in the next few years and would love to become a part of the DA when she return to South Africa. She hopes to help by offering her current skills in accountancy, but to also learn new skills during the experience.Lize is a Christian, happily married and loves dogs!
