Renette was born and raised in Welkom in the Free State. Over the last 18 years she has lived in France, the US and now Canada. She is now trained and qualified as an early Childhood Educator but recently returned back top school to complete a Bachelor’s degree in Community Development. Renette is on the board of directors of an non-profit organisation in Montreal called Women Aware. This organisation provides long term support for victims and survivors of intimate partner violence and also provides educational programs in schools and colleges regarding intimate partner violence.
Renette became a volunteer for the DA Abroad in 2016. She loves South Africa and is passionate about our country, it’s people and it’s future. Renette believes it is important to be aligned with those who share the same heart and vision for our country. She is therefore really excited and proud to be part of the DA Abroad. Our country deserves the hope it represents!

Beaullah Mahlangu was born in Krugersdorp where she went to school. Her family moved to Pretoria in 1985 where she started my nursing career. Beaullah worked in several hospitals in South Africa before moving to the United Kingdom in 2000. There she continued her professional nurse career in different sectors in the UK for 14 years.
Beaullah is married & has an 11 year old son. From 2014, the lived in Australia for about 2 years before moving to Canada a year ago.
Beaullah has been involved as a volunteer for different organisations both in the UK and Canada. She is passionately opposed to any kind of injustice. For her, the abundant misuse of power by our current government is deeply disconcerting. She therefore endeavours to help create a positive change in the political spectrum of our country and enhance the welfare of all the people of South Africa.
