Our Constitution is being threatened. The Constitution of the Republic of South Africa, (Act 108 of 1996) guarantees the freedom of the media and expression. These are fundamental cornerstones of a healthy democracy and a transparent government. The ANC have recently put forward two documents that threaten these freedoms.

This is our first campaign as the DA Abroad and it’s an opportunity for us to make a difference. We cannot stand by and let the independence of the National Prosecuting Authority be compromised by the Government. It is our fundamental protection against state abuse and corruption. Without an independent NPA, there is no one who can keep an eye on government officials.
