The DA Abroad is a global network for South Africans (and anyone else, really) who want to make a difference by contributing to South Africa’s success and future. There are many ways in which people can be part of the process – from raising international awareness on South African issues, by signing a petition or even just staying informed on local issues.
To help you get started, here are 10 suggestions for how you can contribute and help steer South Africa in the right direction and continue its path to success:
Vote in the 2019 elections
As in 2014, South Africans living around the world will be able to vote in the 2019 General Election. South Africans who are registered to vote must notify the IEC of their intention of voting abroad in order to cast their at their nearest foreign voting station. Check out our FAQs on voting abroad and make sure you’re ready to cast your vote for the DA wherever in the world you might be.

In order for the DA Abroad to be most effective, we need to reach as many people as we possible can. And the best way to do this is by word of month. So spread the word by sharing our Facebook Page with your friends, linking to us, or tweeting @ us on Twitter.
Take action. Be part of our campaigns
No matter where you are in the world your actions can make a difference. Visit our Campaigns page and sign the petition, write the letter, spread the word… every little bit helps.
The DA Abroad is a non-profit organisation and so we rely entirely on donations from the public. Any donation you can make, big or small will be a valuable contribution to our work. Donations can be made to help the DA Abroad, or you can to contribute directly to the DA’s work in SA.
We’re a global organisation and are looking to establish branches around the world, and even where we already have branches established we need your skills, so get in touch and let us know what you have to offer… there’s work to be done.
